Excellence in family dentistry begins with trust

We have provided general dental services in the Portage and Kalamazoo, Michigan area for over 30 years.

We welcome you to our practice. Even for people who have not visited a dentist for many years, we can quickly and conveniently get your dental care back on the right track. We are aware that some patients may be uncomfortable about dental care but we will make every effort to help make your visit a pleasant one.

Our office is unique—we schedule only one patient at a time limiting the number of patients we see in a day. This allows for a relaxed atmosphere and more attention to your personal needs.

If you’re new to the Portage or Kalamazoo area, or if you’ve postponed your dental care, we can make it easy to get started. We reserve special appointments for our new patients so that we can schedule you in for your first visit quickly and conveniently.

The greatest service we can possibly provide for a new patient is a thorough dental examination to hear your concerns, review your history and current X-rays, and discuss the treatment options that best address your needs.

Excellence in dentistry begins with a careful diagnosis and treatment plan to move us toward the goals we will establish together. When needed and with your permission, we will utilize all appropriate radiographs, intra-oral photographs, and study models of your teeth and jaws to identify areas of concern. We believe this in-depth examination to be the cornerstone of quality dentistry.

About Us

My staff and I would like to welcome you to our practice. We are aware that some patients may be uneasy about dental care, however we will make every effort to help make your visit a pleasant one.

Our office is unique in that we limit the number of patients we see in a day. This allows for a relaxed atmosphere and more attention to your personal needs.

We reserve time for each patient in our schedule and make it our policy not to keep our patients waiting. An appointment in our schedule is a bond of trust that states that we will be here to serve you and you will be present for that appointment. This commitment indicates our desire to have mutual respect for each other’s time.

After many years of experience, we know the two main areas of misunderstanding that can occur relate to insurance and money. For this reason, we always quote fees and make definite financial arrangements when needed prior to treatment.

We will do everything we can to help you maximize the insurance benefits that you have. We ask that you read and become familiar with the limitations and exclusions of your policy.

  1. Dental insurance is gladly accepted and processed by our office. Estimated co-payments are due at the time of the visit.
  2. Any fees not covered by insurance are the responsibility of the patient.
  3. Payment can be made in cash, check, or credit card.
  4. Extended payment plans are available for larger treatment cases. Our office staff will discuss different options prior to treatment.

Our office is a participant in most all traditional insurance plans such as Delta Dental and Blue Cross. We also are participants in selected PPO plans such as Dentamax and Cigna.

  1. Traditional benefit (“Indemnity”) plans do not stipulate where you go. You can see any dentist and receive full benefits
  2. If your plan is a PPO in which we are not contracted, you will still be able to use it in office. Your benefits on some, but not all procedures, may be slightly less than if you went to a dentist on their restricted list of providers
  3. If your plan is a HMO/DMO, you will receive benefits only if you see a dentist on their list of providers

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at any time.
